He claims he finds it impossible to find a girlfriend. That’s hard to believe of the 11-times Olympic swimming medallist who has earned something of a reputation for his ego since his gold medal winning performances at the London 2012 games. The 28-year-old show-off, Ryan Lochte, posted a new picture of himself in only his underpants for his one million Twitter followers this Saturday, asking “Do I look a lil tanner haha!” just as he was due for an ESPN photo shoot. Lochte’s washboard abs and glow of good living and good health regularly produce a gaggle of photogenic admirers happily hanging from his arm, and this has not escaped the notice of the television producers. It has immerged that Lochte now has a reality television show lined up. The programme, titled “What Would Ryan Lochte Do?” is is set to run for six episodes on E!, in April.
The series is said to feature the Olympian’s preparation for the 2016 Rio Olympics, whilst building his branded fashion business, making media appearances, and living whatever it is that an Olympian calls a personal life. Fans might wonder if they can expect to see more antics like last summer’s impromptu race with fellow eligible bachelor, Prince Harry, during the Royal’s infamous Vegas trip. The pair took to the Wynn hotel’s nightclub pool partially clothed during what looked like an incredible night of carefree partying, for which the Prince is still receiving slaps on the wrist six months down the line after he was caught much less than partially clothed on camera. If Lochte’s bad influence factor can hold through those six episodes, viewers should see good entertainment value, at least.
The show will also show the Florida native’s desperate search to find a girlfriend, which is apparently supposed to be a large part of its appeal, according to E! president Suzanne Kolb, who said in a statement, “He is an incredibly endearing personality who is sexy, entertaining and fun. Watching this show, I believe people will fall into three categories: they want to be him, sleep with him or mother him.” We could think of several more.
